Power Vac America has won a 2026 BBB Pinnacle Award from the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston. The bureau presented the award on September 30, 2026, at its 34th annual Awards for Excellence luncheon, where 960 guests saw 258 companies recognized.
Five BBB Pinnacle Award Wins Since 2010
The Pinnacle is the top honor at the BBB Awards for Excellence. Power Vac America has been a BBB Accredited Business since the company opened in 1991 and has been recognized at the awards since 2010. This is our fifth BBB Pinnacle Award, following wins in 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2016.
What the Judges Look For
The BBB Pinnacle Award is decided on how a company runs. The application asks how a business handles complaints, how it measures its own performance, and how it would support its employees and customers through a hurricane or other crisis—a practical question for any company on the Gulf Coast.
Our answers came down to four things:
- A mission we hold ourselves to. “Provide the highest-quality air duct cleaning service in the most honest and professional manner.”
- One specialty, done completely. Thorough HVAC system and air duct cleaning, performed by a NADCA-certified company under Texas license TACLA 28012E.
- Customers who return. About 70% of our customers come back, even though most buildings need duct cleaning only every few years.
- A crew that stays. Our employees have been with us for more than ten years on average.
Who Earned It
The credit goes to our crews, estimators, and office staff (Our Team). They do the work this award recognizes—in attics, on rooftops, and in mechanical rooms. We also thank the HVAC contractors and facility managers who trust us with their buildings, some of them for decades.
“We’ve never tried to be the biggest or the cheapest,” said Doug Long, owner of Power Vac America. “We just try to do the job right and treat people fairly. It’s good to know that still counts for something.”
The Same Standard on Every Job
A BBB Pinnacle Award recognizes how we already work, and it is how we will keep working. Power Vac America provides Commercial, Industrial, and Healthcare air duct cleaning across Texas, along with residential service in the Houston area.
