September 6th throuth 9th, 2023, PowerVac America team is heading to Grapevine Texas for the 2023 National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA) Fall Technical Conference.
As a proud member of NADCA for over 30 years, we are regular attendees of their events. The Fall Technical conference differs from their other yearly get together because it is THE PLACE for hand-on air duct cleaning training. Programmed specifically for technicians, it gives workers at every stage of their career the chance to “sharpen skills and work directly with tools, equipment, and technologies specific to the industry.”
PowerVac America will be represented by five of our esteemed team members who will be taking the prep class for the Air System Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) test and the test itself to join three other team members who are already certified. Having team members that are dedicated to the quality and standards of their work is something that sets Power Vac America apart and why we’re so proud of our crew for taking the steps to gain this prestigious certification.
The ASCS certification is designed for individuals working in the field of HVAC system cleaning and maintenance. It signifies a certain level of expertise and knowledge in the inspection, cleaning, and restoration of HVAC systems. Here are some key points about the ASCS certification:
Certification Process:
To become an ASCS, individuals typically need to complete a comprehensive training program offered by NADCA. This program covers various aspects of HVAC system cleaning and maintenance, including the principles of air system cleaning, safety procedures, regulations, equipment usage, and more.
Examination:
After completing the training program, candidates must pass an examination to demonstrate their understanding of the material. The examination tests their knowledge of HVAC system components, cleaning techniques, industry standards, and best practices.
Continuing Education:
To maintain the ASCS certification, individuals are often required to participate in ongoing education and training. This ensures that certified specialists stay up-to-date with the latest advancements, techniques, and regulations in the HVAC cleaning industry.
Industry Recognition:
The ASCS certification is widely recognized in the HVAC industry and is often considered a mark of professionalism and expertise. It provides customers and clients with confidence that the certified specialist is knowledgeable and capable of performing quality HVAC system cleaning and maintenance.
